This role plays a critical part in supporting our technology initiatives and business operations.ResponsibilitiesThe Linux Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's Linux servers and systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance. This role is crucial for supporting our IT infrastructure and business operations.Responsibilities:Linux Server Deployment: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, including Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or other distributions.System Administration: Perform day-to-day system administration tasks, including user management, system updates, and performance tuning.Security Hardening: Implement security measures, including access controls, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security patches, to protect Linux systems from threats.Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools for routine system tasks and processes.Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and system availability.Network Configuration: Configure and maintain network services, such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN, on Linux servers.Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitor server performance, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and optimize system resources.Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve system issues, software conflicts, and discrepancies promptly.Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.Vendor and Service Provider Management: Collaborate with Linux software vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of Linux-based services.
