Job Purpose - The Assistant Manager Civil will play a key role in overseeing civil and infrastructure works at the Indian School of Business (ISB) campus. They will be responsible for managing various civil projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining the campus infrastructure to ensure a safe and functional environment for students, faculty, and staff. Job Specification - Knowledge/Education - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Specific Skills - knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques. in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure. Desirable Experience - 4-6 years of relevant experience in civil engineering and project management. Infrastructure Maintenance - 25% Conduct regular inspections of campus infrastructure to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for buildings, roads, pathways, and other civil structures. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely repairs and upkeep of campus facilities. Compliance and Regulations - 20% Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction and renovation projects as required. Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements to enhance campus infrastructure. Budget Management - 15% Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for civil and infrastructure projects. Monitor expenses and expenditures to ensure projects are completed within budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards. Team Leadership - 10% Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff members involved in civil projects. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote teamwork and productivity.
