Job description
This position will provide engineering and operational support to Microsoft 365 services across all Company locations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. We are looking for a self-starter and a quick learner with the ability to perform independently.
Primary responsibilities and skills include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as escalation point for server and hypervisor-related issues
- Deploy, support, and maintain hyperconverged infrastructure environments
- Troubleshoot Nutanix and VMware issues that may arise – clusters, VMs, hosts, datastores, VNet and other components
- Assist with firmware updates of VMWare hosts and clusters
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with no or minimal supervision
- Perform effective RCA
- Resolve tickets in IT Infrastructure queue
- Participate in Windows patching using MECM (SCCM). Troubleshoot and resolve patching related problems
- Proactively provision servers and operating systems to ensure capacity and performance
- Monitor, analyze and report key metrics for environment health, performance and capacity
- Install and configure server hardware and software
- Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
- Understand business needs and make sure they are aligned with IT innovations
