inDrive is an international ride-hailing service headquartered in Mountain View, CA. We are building a global high-tech product that is positively affecting the lives of millions of people across the globe. Our platform is among the world's top 3 mobile ride-sharing services with 200 million installs, over 1 billion trips, and 700+ cities in 46 countries. We are looking for a Business Development Director to run and develop our ride-hailing business in the APAC region. The director diligently strategizes to optimize the ride-hailing service's positioning for regional triumph and expansion of inDrive. What you will do: Define growth strategies through market research and launch initiatives for revenue and GMV growth. Oversee P&L management and maintain financial health in the APAC region. Monitor and enhance key performance indicators for cities where inDriver operates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies that drive business impact. Collaborate with the government relations department in the APAC region. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate top business opportunities, ensuring their successful execution. Lead business development efforts across various domains such as vehicles, financial services, safety, etc. Manage a high volume of engagements in a fast-paced environment. Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key partners. Drive the scaling of new product features to boost key performance metrics. Mentor and develop a team of 20 members to enhance their skills and expertise. Conduct product and marketing experiments to validate hypotheses and implement impactful changes. Coordinate cross-team efforts to launch projects and ensure growth within inDriver's operational cities. Manage multiple projects efficiently while adapting to the company's rapid growth pace. What we expect from you: 10 years of business development experience, with exposure to tech, consulting, finance, or M&A; less experienced candidates considered if meeting other criteria. Proven ability to build and leverage C-level relationships, and extensive senior-level connections across industries. Strong analytical skills to lead complex deals, combining business, strategy, finance, and legal aspects. Track record in cultivating, negotiating, and growing partnerships. Experience in effectively engaging and maintaining dialogue with government officials. Excellent interpersonal skills for effective negotiation and coordination with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in presentation delivery and adaptability to fast-paced environments. Fluent proficiency in English at a professional level. Undergraduate degree in Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. Marketing, project management, and business development experience, including digital marketing proficiency. Familiarity with marketing research, customer development, and hypothesis testing. Proficiency in Google Spreadsheets (MS Excel) and Tableau are advantageous. Project management certification is desirable. Experience in Ride-Hailing or B2C marketplaces preferred. Entrepreneurial mindset with initiative and goal orientation.
