Full Stack Web Developer

Our Indian(Gurugram) team is expanding and we are in need of an experienced(minimum 5 years) full stack developer.

Location: Gurgram (Udyog Vihar) - Work from office

CTC: Up to INR 700,000 Per Annum

Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM IST (Monday to Friday), 9:00 AM – 5:00PM IST Saturday (Alternative) 

Eligibility Criteria: Minimum 5 years experience as a full stack developer

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Full Stack Web Developer located in Gurugram. As a Full Stack Web Developer at Select and Switch, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build user interfaces, implement back-end functionality, and ensure a seamless user experience. Your work will contribute to improving the overall performance and efficiency of our web applications.

Key Accountabilities

·       Review application requirements and interface designs, discussing user interface ideas and applications.

·       Identify web-based user interactions and develop highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.

·       Troubleshoot interface software and debug application code.

·       Develop and implement front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.

·       Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

·       Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

·       Guide, coach, and mentor software engineers.

Your Technical Skills Must Include

·       Very strong knowledge of classic HTML and HTML5.

·       Proficiency in responsive and mobile techniques.

·       Strong knowledge of PHP (CodeIgniter) and the CodeIgniter Framework.

·       Front-end skills including HTML, CSS, CSS3, CSS3 animations, JavaScript, popular JavaScript libraries/frameworks (e.g., jQuery), LESS/Sass.

·       Back-end skills including PHP, MySQL, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, XML.

·       Working knowledge of source control systems such as Bitbucket and GitHub.

·       Ability to develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs.

·       Solid understanding of backend architecture and APIs.

·       Database designing and application architecture planning for Core PHP projects.

·       Debugging skills and expertise in PHP, MVC Frameworks, especially CodeIgniter.

·       Responsive development for desktop, mobile, and tablet.

·       Experience creating responsive HTML newsletters in platforms like MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, etc.

·       Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and ability to work with design files for web development needs.

·       Ability to debug front-end site issues using inspector tools.

·       Ensure all user input is validated before submitting to the back-end.

·       Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX preferred.

·       Experience in cPanel handling.

·       Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, CodeIgniter Framework, MVC, OOPS.

·       Knowledge of tools and frameworks such as Gulp, Grunt, Node, Composer, etc.

·       Effective use of GitHub for team collaboration purposes.

·       Ability to write SQL queries with joins, filters, and aggregations.

·       Ability to solve complex problems using appropriate algorithms.

·       Experience in building scalable, multilingual, and responsive web applications desirable.

·       Prior experience delivering web applications is a plus.

·       Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and strategies to address them.

·       Proficient understanding of Git, including managing multiple branches and using the git rebase command.

·       Develop new user-facing features based on high-level requirements.

·       Translate high-level requirements into application workflows with equal emphasis on UI/UX and functionality.

·       Build reusable code and libraries for future use.

·       Ensure all user input is validated before being submitted to the backend.

·       Design and implement REST and GraphQL APIs and services for front-end applications.

·       Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code.

·       Software development documentation, including technical design, unit test cases, traceability, SDLC, etc.

Awesome additional skills

·       Ability to work with APIs

·       Experience working with CMS systems e.g. Silverstripe, Hubspot, Magento, Wordpress, Joomla, Shopify, etc.

·       Working knowledge of domain setup, DNS records and web hosting environments e.g. cPanel, WHM, AWS, Google suites e.g. Analytics, Adwords

Qualification

·       Minimum bachelor degree or similar qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or Coding.
