Role Summary:

Designation : Director - Brand Strategy (Mainline)

Job Location : Richmond Road, Bengaluru

Years of experience : 7 to 10 years of creative account planning and brand strategy experience, preferably from a mainline, integrated, or creative advertising agency. (Please note that we are NOT considering candidates from MEDIA or OTHER INDUSTRIES.)

Job Description

The Director of Brand Strategy (Mainline) is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and execution of creative brand strategies that drive client success. This role requires a deep understanding of branding, consumer behaviour, and market dynamics, as well as the ability to lead a team of strategists to deliver exceptional results.

Key Accountabilities

  • Serves as a visionary leader across the businesses they are assigned to lead
  • Responsible for creating creative Strategies and planning for various brands across all mainline platforms.
  • Develop big strategic platform ideas grounded in data and rich in insight and steward their growth and development.
  • Serves as the lead team member with ultimate responsibility for the quality of the strategic and creative products the team produces
  • Leads and directs new business efforts with a clear understanding of the agency's go-to-market strategy
  • Contributes to the agency's intellectual property by developing broad-based initiatives on techniques and topics relevant to Agency and Client interests
  • Uses all forms of data to uncover insights, with a strong mastery of both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Mentors group members, in addition to being able to help manage their projects on a day-to-day basis and motivate them to push their thinking to the next level through a visionary approach to their problems
  • Acts as a strong client and creative partner to drive the brand and business mission forward
  • Demonstrates and fosters a collaborative work environment in which ideas flourish
  • Manage a team of senior brand strategists and planners on using the agency process, and methodology and optimize their skills and talent.

Professional Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in brand strategy and account planning within a mainline advertising agency.
  • Proven track record of developing successful brand strategies for leading brands.
  • Proven campaign and brand platform success.
  • Command a room with an energetic, engaging, and inspirational presentation style.
  • Collaborative nature, partnering with creative, media, and account teams.
  • Excellent writer and vivid presentation creator.
  • Autonomous, fearless, and ready for the challenge.
  • Must be passionate, highly driven, and highly motivated.
  • Proven success working in cross-functional teams.
  • Confident and clear communicator.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in advertising.
