Data Engineer

ACS-I India is looking for a 5+ years experienced Data Engineer who will support a rapidly growing Business Data & Analytic Platform focused on providing data product solutions that empower our core business users to turn data into actionable insights. The data engineer will work as a dedicated team member focused on providing customer service excellence, collaboration, and data platform stability for data pipeline workflows.

Job Responsibilities:

• Designs and develops complex and large-scale data structures and pipelines for ingestion and transformation of data for analytical or operational uses across a wide variety of business needs and enterprise data domains.
• Writes complex ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems and develops pipelines for batch and near real-time analytic processing.
• Develop automated data quality check to make sure right data enters the data platform and verifying the results of the calculations.
• Automate, orchestrates and monitors data pipelines from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with others as part of a cross-functional team that includes Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Data Stewards, Data Architects, Data Scientists, Data Modelers, Cloud Platform Engineers and Data Analysts.
• Being an active and collaborating member of an Agile/Scrum team and following all Agile/Scrum best practices
• Develop detailed technical requirements, design documentation, test scripts, run books and other associated artifacts.
• Responsible to ensure day-to-day operations of product that depend on data, ensuring data is properly processed and securely transferred to its appropriate location.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar discipline with 5+ years’ experience in data integration, data warehouses/lakes, data profiling, data governance understanding.

Proficient with:

• Programming tools – SQL (preferred), Python, SCALA
• Database/Data Warehouse/Data Lake technologies – SAP BW, PostgreSQL, Snowflake
• Data visualization-Tableau
• Expertise to build Test plans and cases following standard process and procedures.
• Comfortable learning about and deploying new technologies and tools.
• Organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
• Good written and oral communication skills and ability to present results to nontechnical audiences.
