Manager Placements, Alumni and Corporate Relations


SOIL institute of Management Career Services Department supports learning through a comprehensive career services program encompassing the following areas: employer

development, career counseling, job search skills (resume and cover letter writing, interviewing

skills, negotiation skills, etc.), graduate school counseling and information, internship assistance, and other areas related to career success.


Manager is responsible for contributing to the placement , internship and career process.


Reporting to : Associate Director - Career Services


Duties and responsibilities :


Management

• Develop and implement a strategic plan in close collaboration with the Director Career Services

• Assist with departmental recruiting activities

• Develop professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry

professionals

• Provide direction, programming, and goals that strategically integrate all aspects of career

development, career exploration, internships, job placement and career planning.

• Work closely with Internal and External stakeholders ensuring communication on all

activities


Career Counseling and Coaching

• Provide career counseling services to students seeking internship opportunities or

permanent employment

• Provide one-on-one advising, workshops, and seminars about strategies for job search

including self-assessment, exploration, decision-making, job search skills and self-directed

job search strategies for students and alumni.


Industry, Alumni and Corporate Relations

• Work in collaboration with Careers team, faculty and alumni to develop new leads for

internships, job shadowing and full-time positions.

• Develop and maintain employer relations and serves as a contact for industry partners and

prospective employers.

• Maintain employer database for internships and full- and part-time positions.

• Plan and implement events to facilitate student and alumni interactions with employers and

industry professionals.

• Responsible for creation and development of alumni relations initiatives and corporate

outreach programs.

Qualifications :

• Master's degree preferred with 3 to 10 + Years’ experience

• Experience with career advising and placement in higher educational setting

• Strong knowledge and experience with career coaching, for a diverse multi-cultural

audience
