Purpose of role


The Head of Post Sales is a senior leadership position reporting into the Business Head – Core Banking. This role provides leadership and direction for the various teams covering Post Sales departments. He/she is responsible for Post Sales, Requirement Gathering, Feature Analysis and Delivering on the Customer Revenue and other goals. For the Post Sales goals, the incumbent is responsible for developing the solution, gathering external & Internal User Requirements, mapping RFP with product & gap analysis, signing off the Functional Specifications Document and creating the Client level Product Road Map.


Will need to work across teams specially the Delivery team and must be able to get a buy in on a shared vision jointly with the Business Head and the Product Head. BH is the owner of all the above and hence the incumbent will be expected to work closely with the BH to ensure alignment of the 4Ps.


Key Accountabilities


Related to Market Knowledge and Customer Centricity:


o Is accountable for developing a strong understanding of the competitive offerings and key value propositions from competition perspective for Core Banking.


o Business Requirements Document Preparation and Signoff, Functional Specifications Document Review and Signoff. Reviews Product Capability.


o Reviews and Signoff PFD, BRD & Parameter Review.


o Review of Data Migration Strategy Publishes clear timelines and visibility on the product priorities and future roll out schedule.


o Allocates the appropriate staffing to achieve the plan and creates monitoring processes to evaluate results and make timely adjustments to ensure effective operating results.


o Review and Signoff of Test Strategy & Test Cases by Post Sales Team. o Foster an environment which actively demonstrates that continuous quality improvement is an operating tenet of the organization; identifies and implements best practices and supports the transfer of such best practices to other units


o Attend and participate in the relevant Management meetings and takes a leadership role in ensuring all documentation and actions are prepared in the timely and complete manner.

Head of Post Sales will be specifically responsible for –

1. Developing the solution, gathering external & Internal Requirements, mapping RFP with product & gap analysis and creating the

Product Road Map. Closing out the Requirement Gathering and closing out the Product Fitment Document.

2. The incumbent reviews the Data Migration Strategy, Functional Specifications Document, Parameters as well as signs off the Solution Design. Additionally the incumbent and the team are responsible for conducting Solution Workshop with customers on need basis and reviewing and signing off the Test Strategy.

3. Identify partners for addressing localization issues such local regulations, product opportunities, market practices, interfaces and protocols

4 Non- functional parameters for the product –scalability, performance, security, integration etc.

5. Solution definition for a given opportunity –

a. While pre-sales team would handle out of box scenarios, requirements which cannot be handled/ demonstrated without a change in the product should be analysed by this team. Product Team should guide pre-sales team and engineering on how to address and respond to such gaps during the pre-sales cycle

b. If the Solution cuts across modules across platforms, Product Team will coordinate with other teams and visualise the solution to be presented to the customer. Pre Sales team will take this solution to the customer.

6. Ownership of Requirements and SIT in the implementations

a. Rollout Team will take ownership of this activity from project management perspective and would have its own BAs assigned for requirement validation. Product Team would ensure requirement validation process is carried out and customer sign off is obtained.

b. Analysis of gaps and segregating them into K1 –K4 items, thus defining responsibilities of PEG and PRG during the implementation process as far as new requirements are concerned

c. Test case suite should be validated by Product Team to ascertain that customer requirements are fully covered during the testing process and that requirements are met the way it was agreed with the customer

7 To take ownership of dispute resolution between the client and roll out team during UAT

11. Preparation of collaterals jointly with Marketing for User Manuals and Documentation.
