Company: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Responsibilities & Key Deliverables• Draw up a plan to develop/procure components with suppliers within time, cost and quality objectives • Vendor assessment for capacity assessment & development times • To ensure the material and tooling cost are settled within the budgeted values • To support Strategic Sourcing in commercial matters • Effective co-ordination with the Engg team to ensure first time right & end delivery of product • Variance analysis at each stage of development in terms of Quality, Cost & Delivery & corrective action • Developing & implementing innovative approaches in cost reduction • To assess investments involved for toolings / vendor aid requirement for components development • To support Strategic Sourcing in selection of supplier as per sourcing guidelines • To meet MRD (Material Receipt Date) targets • To meet the Gateway Requirements as per MPDS (Mahindra Product Development System) targets for projects. • To get actively involved in project feasibility studies • To meet targets for quality , Cost & delivery (QCD) targets for all new products and improvements in existing products • Support STA in part development as per APQP process & Project timelines • Prepare Capital & Revenue Budgets for new Lamp Developments • Must have good understanding of Taxation for Parts & Tools • Desirable: Zero based costing knowledge for Lamps including its ElectronicsExperience 8~ 10 years post training in a reputed OEM / Tier 1 Supplier. Industry PreferredQualifications B.E / B.Tech (1st Preference - Electrical Engg, 2nd -Mechanical Engg) General Requirements* Must have very good knowledge & understanding of Automotive Electrical & Electronics Parts. * Must have in-depth knowledge & experience of manufacturing processes of various Automotive Electrical Parts such as Front lighting, Rear Lighting, Interior Lighting, LED/LDM PCB development. * Must have in-depth technical knowledge of components used in these parts such as, LEDs, PCBs, etc. as well as medium to light manufacturing & assembly processes, such as Injection Moulding, etc. * Must have a hands-on knowledge & experience of Design & Development of the above parts for Automotive Applications. * Must have good exposure to APQP Product Development Processes * Must have good exposure to RFQ, Quote Analysis and Supplier Selection Process * Must have good exposure to Program Management skills and should be capable of managing multiple programs on wiring harnesses, across locations, across platforms. * Must have good commercial acumen and business-sense * Highly Preferable : Should have developed at least 1 vehicle set of above-mentioned parts for an all new vehicle program, from RFQ to SOP months.
