Application Solution Architect - Ecommerce

Job Description: We are looking for an innovative solution architect to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs. The solution architect’s responsibilities include understanding requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams. You should also be able to regularly update the company on any developments in systems architecture projects. To be successful as a solution architect, you should be able to integrate any updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture. An outstanding solution architect should be able to explain complex problems to management in layman’s terms. You will • Drive, influence and shape the technical strategy and ongoing development of a modern architecture for our company's eCommerce experience • As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, deliver presentations and play an influential role in shaping the technology direction of the organization • Collaborate with senior architects and peers across company's Digital and develop technical designsfor key initiatives • Lead and drive eCommerce, marketplace, subscriptions and cloud-native architecture • Develop and evolve micro-services and micro-frontend based architecture solutions • Mentor and grow technical leads and architects that run product lines in the eCommerce team • Perform architecture reviews while being responsive to help resolve pressing technical challenges Essential Requirements • Strong written and verbal communication skills in sharing vision, architecture and roadmap succinctly with a diverse set of audiences • 10+ years of experience with a proven passion for large-scale web technology • Significant experience designing highly resilient, maintainable and scalable architectures • Significant experience developing secure, cloud-native applications • Demonstrable experience developing high-quality code using Test Driven Development • Demonstrable experience with developing a culture of automation and DevOps practices • Significant experience with Java • Strong working knowledge of JavaScript/Typescript and related client-side libraries • Experience working with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch and Mongo • Experience developing Event-Driven Architecture with Kafka or RabbitMQ • Strong organizational planning and development, business judgment, technical leadership, and communication skills Desirable Requirements • Experience applying AI/ML, graph, or data platform technologies to enhance user experience • Experience with AB testing, blue-green and Canary deployments • Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems such as Cloud Foundry/Kubernetes • Experience with enterprise-grade eCommerce platforms and marketplace solutions such as Spryker, Mirakl, Salesforce or Adobe Commerce
