About Role:


As an Architect, your work is a combination of hands-on contribution, customer engagement, and technical team management. Overall, your responsibilities for MDM architect includes design, architect, deploy and maintain Master Data Management Platform solutions. More specifically, this will involve:


  • Subject matter expert to define measurable metrics per subject area to support a robust and successful deployment of an MDM platform.
  • Plan and lead MDM requirement analysis, MDM tool evaluation and assessment sessions with business users.
  • Own and aggressively drive forward MDM solutions across Cloud Data Management
  • Understand requirements and support development pertaining to the client's C360/E360 application.
  • Engage in complex Master Data Management projects utilizing technologies and architecting the solutions including MDM tools, Data Quality tools, Data Integration tools, and Data Modelling tools.
  • To be able to explain to clients in detail the functional and technical features of MDM products, their strengths & limitations.
  • Good knowledge of various aspects of - like data ingestion/inbound configurations, data modelling, match rules, cleanse rules, survivorship rules, metadata analysis, outbound configurations.
  • To be able to understand the clients customer life cycle, touchpoints where customer data is captured and business processes to collect, analyse and consume this data for various purposes such as marketing, sales, customer service etc.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of technical as well as functional features of MDM Products, their strengths & limitations, and other critical aspects to successfully guide our clients during the selection of MDM vendor, Implementation, Analytical and Operations of the MDM.
  • Have a good understanding of Master Data Management Concepts when applied to Customer/Product/Supplier/Material data including but not limited to data collection, unification, transformation, segmentation, and storage.
  • Good understanding of Data Stewardship and Governance process - Manual Merge, Hierarchy Management, Workflow Management, Unmerge, Curation, Survivorship, etc.
  • Define requirements for data quality rules, data matching and merging rules, survivorship criteria, and data stewardship workflows.
  • Advise on performance optimizations and best practices for scalable data models, pipelines, and queries.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to the development team to ensure the MDM is implemented as per business requirements and expectations.
  • Assessing current state technical architecture and advise how MDM will fit to enhance the maturity level of clients in terms of utilizing customer data to achieve client business goals.


Qualifications for MDM Architect

  • 11+ years of technical experience in software development with 5 years of hands-on experience in Architecting and designing MDM solutions or a similar role in design, development, support, and operations and completed at least 2-3 full life cycle experience with a leading MDM platform preferably with Informatica Multidomain MDM/ Reltio MDM especially in Customer and Product domains.
  • Industry experience in any of the following industries (Retail, CPG, Manufacturing, Healthcare payer/provider, Pharma)
  • Strong understanding of master data management concepts, data governance principles, reference data management and data integration strategies.
  • Significant experience in designing and implementing MDM solutions, data models, and data hierarchies.
  • Must have hands-on experience across the various phases of a typical DQM solution - data profiling, data integration, validation, cleansing, standardization, matching, consolidation etc.
  • Excellent business communication, Consulting, Quality process skills, and take responsibility for overall technical solution on client engagement.
  • Experience working independently, efficiently, and effectively under tight timelines and delivering results by critical deadlines.
  • Able to review design independently, lead code reviews and ensure quality throughout the life of MDM project.
  • Experience with business-facing activities such as requirements gathering, facilitating meetings, presentation creation, ability to prepare business use ready deliverables and manage day-to-day interactions effectively and relationships with a diverse group of colleagues.
  • Exposure with Digital marketing technologies such as Omni-channel Campaign Management, PIM etc is plus.
  • Committed to continue understanding of new technologies and their strategic advantages.
  • Familiarity working with below will be a good to have.
  • Designing/building large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions (in Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Database or Cloud DW environments
  • Data lake design and implementation
