Social Media Manager – Marketing and Communications Department, ISB About the Department and the Role - The Marketing and Communications Department at ISB leads brand building initiatives for the school. It supervises and directs the workflow of the school's outreach through marketing channels (website, events, social media, online, print, etc.), advertising, and public relations functions of the school. It also works with other departments within and outside the school to enhance, protect and safeguard the institution's brand value across the globe and across all channels. We are currently seeking a talented and creative candidate to join our team as a Social Media Manager. We're looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Manager to join our team and spearhead our social media presence. You'll be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy across various platforms, growing our audience, and fostering meaningful brand engagement. Key responsibilities • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy: This includes defining clear goals, identifying target audiences, and creating a content calendar that aligns with the school's overall marketing objectives. • Craft engaging content: You'll be responsible for creating high-quality content, including text posts, images, infographics, and videos, tailored to each platform's specific requirements and audience preferences. • Manage social media channels: This involves regularly posting content, scheduling posts using relevant tools, and responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner. • Monitor and analyze social media performance: Use social media analytics tools to track key metrics such as engagement, reach, and website traffic. Analyze data to identify trends and optimize social media strategies for better results. • Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends: The social media landscape is constantly evolving. Stay informed about new platforms, features, and best practices to ensure our social media presence remains fresh and relevant. • Collaborate with other departments: Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure brand consistency across all communication channels. Candidate profile • Ideal candidates will have a background in content creation, social media, content marketing or a related field coupled with at least 6-8 years of work experience. • They will have exceptional communication, presentation and advocacy skills, a sound understanding of SEO and online audience engagement best practices, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality written content with attention to detail. • They will have a good understanding of social media metrics and should be able to use it to craft relevant social media strategies. Desired attributes • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal • At least 6-8 years’ experience working in content creation, marketing, journalism, media, public relations, or related fields • Demonstrated ability in operating social media platforms for large organisations and driving audience engagement • Good to have (but not necessary): A bachelor’s or advanced degree in mass communications, marketing, journalism or a related field • Good to have (but not necessary): Experience working with educational institutions
