Position Overview Autodesk Fusion is design, engineering, electronics, and manufacturing software, all-in-one. It enables our customers to connect their entire product development process into one cloud-based software with integrated 3D CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB. You will join our Fusion team to deliver performant 3D CAD capabilities to our customers, enabling them to design and make many of the products we see and interact with daily.We are looking for a motivated content creator and engineer to join our team. The Fusion Content Team provides standard parts library for Fusion users in the form of data and 3D models. We can bring significant impact to the whole Fusion User Community by increasing their productivity by magnitudes. This is an onsite position located in Pune, you will report to Manager, Software DevelopmentResponsibilitiesCreate customer-facing content and ensure globalization readinessAnalyze and understand various types of content. Primary focus is on mechanical engineering content such as bolts, nuts and washers. In the future this may include content from other industries such as electrical and constructionConvert printed standards from various sources into digital format. This includes creating data tables (JSON, Excel) and modeling 3D representations of fasteners (in Autodesk Fusion)Test newly developed content to ensure it works properlyMaintain and troubleshoot issues in content (both data and 3D models)Document new content, including changes to existing contentProvide feedback and help to develop automations for content creationExample of daily tasks:Analyze specific printed standard for bolts, categorize and identify key driving variables such as bolt diameter and lengthUse a semi-automated process to create JSON with a table of combinations of diameters and lengthsCreate a parametric 3D model of the bolt in Autodesk Fusion. Name parameters to match values in JSONIdentify key identifiers of the bolt (such as name, description, national standard) and put them into JSONUse a set of tools to create a Fusion library of boltsTest it against a printed standardAgile DevelopmentUnderstand, embrace and promote the agile methodology, principles and values within the teamParticipate in daily team scrum meetingsProvide the Product Owner with any support required to facilitate their backlog refinement and managementDemonstrate product increments in sprint reviewsParticipate in team retrospectives and feedback loops to improve on future iterationsParticipate in sprint planning sessionsMinimum QualificationsKnowledge of 3D modeling in CADBasic understanding of various data formats such as JSON and ExcelFluent and concise written and oral English communication skills2 years' experience with a BS in technical fields (e.g. mechanical engineering or computer science) or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsProgramming skills (Python)Commercial experience using CAD softwareAgile methodology experience#LI-Onsite#LI-CL1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
