Job Title - Functional Safety Engineer Work location - Pune Qualification - BE/ BTech/ ME/ Mtech in Electrical/ Electronics (& Telecommunication)/ Instrumentation & Control Experience - 5 to 12 yrs Job Responsibilities- The selected candidate shall be responsible for functional safety development supporting end-toend activities from concept stage through the product life cycle. He/ she shall work along with powertrain domain experts spanning the battery, the motor and other auxiliaries in different kinds of electric vehicles catering to last mile mobility. In doing so, he/ she shall identify safety and security risks, as well as propose and review mitigation measures. The selected candidate shall perform all project phases including hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), fault tree analysis (FTA), FMEDA, Safety Case identification, Test case generation, DIA, Safety compliance report in line with ISO26262. He/ she shall be responsible for the creation of the Functional and Technical Safety Concepts (FSC and TSC) and collaborate with teams to implement these at hardware and software level and institutionalize practices that ensure discipline in design and implementation. Therefore, he/ she needs to have excellent skills in the decomposition of business and customer requirements into functional and technical safety concepts, creation of test specifications, and validate all documentation. He/ she needs to collaborate with system engineers and other stakeholders in the preparation of test plans, creation of support documentation, and preserve evidence of test cases that have been conducted. He/ she needs to be aware of statutory standards and documentation practices used in industry to comply with functional safety audits that may be conducted by external entities. Required Exposure- 5+ years of experience in FUSA Life Cycle wrt Systems and Software Development in automotive with minimum two systems safety compliance done. FUSA design Experience with embedded control systems, hardware and software, Microprocessor based hardware designs, and Software Architecture Development of relevant automation tools to pursue and speed up all the development activities of Safety development Understanding of E-GAS concept for functional safety software implementation. Certified ISO26262 Automotive Functional Safety Professional Preferred add-ons- Experience of software test specifications and automation for PIL / HIL / SIL tests Level 2, Level 3 safety reviewer, responsible for monitoring and evaluating software implementation, carried out by software teams Experience with tools like Ansys Medini, DOORS, etc Scripting, programming and process automation skill to generate company specific forms/ templates. Exposure to CMMi/ ASPICE practices
