The Indian Dialysis Patients Association (IDPA) aims to create awareness and exchange information to enhance the outcome of Dialysis and advocate their issues to all stakeholders. IDPA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the organization's operational strategies and ensure the efficient delivery of services to dialysis patients across India. A COO shall be a key member of the IDPA  senior management team, responsible for overseeing and implementing the organization's daily operations strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO’s primary responsibility is to oversee various essential functions, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the organization. The COO shall support and coordinate activities across accounting, legal and compliance, human resources, financial management, partnership management, and clinical trial operations and facilitate operational excellence in alignment with the association's objectives and values. Leveraging the COO’s strong leadership and operational expertise, the COO plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s success and strategic growth. The COO’s scope of responsibilities is extensive, covering multiple aspects of the organization’s operations. The COO has a significant impact on the overall efficiency and effectiveness of various departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and optimized processes. Partnership management includes seeking our proprietary data and insights from tech companies, pharma, physicians, patient advocacy groups, and researchers. By supporting key leaders and managing operational excellence, the COO contributes to the successful execution of the organization’s goals and mission, ultimately advancing healthcare solutions and benefiting patients worldwide. Key Responsibilities: 1.        Patient Advocacy and Group Development: ·       Lead efforts to establish and empower patient advocacy groups across regions, ensuring representation and amplification of patient voices. ·       Facilitate support networks and educational programs to empower patients with knowledge and resources for self-advocacy and informed decision-making. ·       Collaborate with patients to identify common challenges and priorities and develop advocacy campaigns to address them. 2.        Partnership and Collaboration: ·       Cultivate strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and dialysis services for patient-focused initiatives. ·       Negotiate partnerships prioritizing patient benefits, such as access to affordable medications, treatment options, and support services. ·       Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement patient-centered care models and improve the quality and accessibility of dialysis services. 3.        Program Development and Implementation: ·       Design and implement programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient education, empowerment, and engagement. ·       Develop innovative solutions to address gaps in patient care, including access to medications, financial assistance programs, and mental health support. 4.        Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy: ·       Advocate for policy changes and industry practices that prioritize patient well-being and address systemic barriers to access and affordability. ·       Engage with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to influence policy decisions and standards of care. ·       Represent the interests of dialysis patients in public forums, conferences, and media engagements to raise awareness and drive change. Qualifications: ·       Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field ·       Proven experience in executive leadership and operational management. ·       Extensive experience in leadership roles within patient advocacy organizations, healthcare nonprofits, or related fields and NGO ·       Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape in India, with a focus on dialysis care and patient advocacy. ·       Proven track record of building partnerships and driving collaborative initiatives with diverse stakeholders. ·       Strong advocacy skills and the ability to effectively communicate patient needs and priorities to policymakers and industry leaders. Specialized Knowledge or Technical Skills Needed for the Performance of the Job ·       Knowledge of accounting, legal, and human resources principles and best practices. ·       Familiarity with partnership management and business development strategies. ·       Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry. ·       Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. ·       Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
