Role - Bid Centre Manager


Role Purpose:

Provide sound commercial support to the Bid Management Process. This involves preparation and development of commercial bids, process compliance & contractual adherence


The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate with -

· Accounting Degree. CMA / ICWA preferred

· Experience with contract terms and conditions including negotiations.

· Sound technical and analytical skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Macros

· Ability to prioritize and multi-task

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Attention to detail

· Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, who can work autonomously in a team environment

· Vibrant personality who will be able to work easily with their peers

· Minimum 7-8 years post qualification experience within commercial accounting environment


Key Accountabilities in the role -

  • Coordinate with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing, and Legal, to ensure that all required information is included in the RFP response.
  • To deliver Commercial support during the Bid Process including:

Ø Accurate and timely Bid Model completion.

Ø Ensuring all aspects of the RFP/RFT are costed.

Ø Preparing group approval requirements.

Ø First time right bid input management

  • Preparing commercials to be submitted as a part of response to RFP.
  • Determining margins and profitability on the quotation for internal reviews and presenting to the leadership
  • Detailed financial analysis of commercials being submitted to client to ensure win-win situation for client and company.


· Reporting

Ø MAP Reporting for New Business Wins & Pipeline

Ø Review of project actual financial performance against contract

Ø Ensure all information is up to date through the Bid and Retention process

Ø Reporting to relevant stakeholders of information held

Ø Bid process compliance reporting


· Interaction with internal stakeholders like sales team and Business Leaders to ensure Commercial benefits.

· Using analytics to create action plans that are based off data and statistics, and interpreting results against the targets.


· Assisting Internal and External Stakeholders. Including but not limited to:

Ø Supporting Approvals process (Internal & Group)

Ø Facilitate Proposal Management, Plan completion, distributed and timelines met

Ø Daily liaison with Sales/Ops Team to ensure accurate and efficient supply of contractual information


· Accurate & Timely Production of Bid Model:

Ø Bid Model preparation.

Ø Obtain and update Bid Model Assumptions on a regular basis

Ø Offer solutions to enhance project performance


· General Guidelines

Ø A positive ambassador for company reward & recognition programs

Ø Model high standards of performance and behavior

Ø Develop a positive industrial relations climate


Skills & Experience


Desirable

· Experience in financial model and commercial review desired not mandatory

· Experience in food service Operations is desirable though not mandatory
