  • Job Description
  • The Project Manager (Lead, 2VP), Disaster Recovery will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our disaster recovery programs. Your expertise will be critical in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate the impact of disasters. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure our business remains secure and resilient in the event of any unforeseen disruptions.
  • Project Management
  • Assess business processes and identify opportunities to improve business efficiency.
  • Identify manual processes and points of failure, develop efficient business strategies that enable the Resiliency Team to reduce recovery times.
  • Work with the IT technical staff to ensure that disaster recovery solutions are adequate, in place, maintained, and tested as part of the regular operational life cycle.
  • Optimize repeatable processes by creating workflows and deploying automation through various systems.
  • Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management.
  • Provide ongoing feedback for risk management, mitigation, and prevention.
  • Act as liaison for auditing and examination of disaster recovery processes.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans, including risk assessments, continuity strategies, and response procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments to evaluate their impact on business operations.
  • Disaster Recovery Testing: Plan, execute, and evaluate regular disaster recovery exercises to validate the effectiveness of recovery plans and make necessary adjustments.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with IT, security, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment between disaster recovery and security strategies.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of disaster recovery plans, procedures, and incident response protocols.
  • Incident Response: Lead disaster recovery efforts in the event of a disruption, coordinating the response and recovery activities.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and provide training to employees on disaster recovery and business continuity procedures to enhance preparedness.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and evolving threats to continually improve disaster recovery capabilities.

  • Develop effective presentations for strategy and approach for management and stakeholders.
  • Creation and delivery of information/plans should be convincing and professional, with use of pivots, charts, graphics to support the content/message.
  • Ability to create presentations to various stakeholders like application owners and infrastructure managers.
  • Ability to convert data and historic information into convincing information using presentations and charts.
  • Effectively deliver content, adjusting tone to the target audience in timely manner.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Strong knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Certification such as CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) or equivalent is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 to10 years of experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Experience in coordinating and leading disaster recovery exercises and response efforts.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining comprehensive disaster recovery plans.
