ACS-I India is looking for Scientific Content Curators with 2-5 years’ experience having scientific expertise surrounding synthesis, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities to assist in building a world-class collection of scientific data. They will leverage their expertise to curate high-quality research insights from patent authorities, journals, technical reports, books, conference proceedings and dissertations published in 180 countries. The incumbent may also provide scientific and content knowledge, capabilities, insights, and solutions related to projects and innovations.

Job Responsibilities:

Scientific Content Curators will review the latest published scientific material, add chemical structures to the world’s largest collection of structure data, leverage their expertise to resolve ambiguity within published content, and determine uncharacterized structure content. They will leverage policies and authority constructs to resolve structures to existing authorities as well as add to comprehensive structure collections.


Job Requirements:

  • MSc (Organic Chemistry) OR MPharm (Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chem) OR MPhil OR Doctoral degree in Synthetic Chemistry or related scientific field.
  • 2-5 years of work experience and someone who is passionate about Organic Chemistry and wants to be associated with the same in in IT/ITES establishment (not physical Lab).
  • Excellent scientific reading comprehension and writing skills.
  • Ability to learn policies, work habits, insights, and tool usage from trainers to foster quality and productivity.
  • Strong learning agility including ability to quickly learn and apply complex scientific concepts, policies and technology tools. Ability to apply learnings to new situations and glean relevant insights.
  • Effective organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, and multitasking.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong technical acumen including experience with video conferencing, instant messaging, email, calendar scheduling, word processing, spreadsheets, and document sharing software.
  • Ability to solve complex problems within and outside of the primary group.
  • Ability to proactively collaborate, communicate and share knowledge with peers with diverse backgrounds.
