Key Responsibilities: System Administration: Manage and maintain servers and other IT infrastructure components. Perform system upgrades, and regular maintenance tasks. Incident Response: Monitor and respond to IT incidents, including system outages and performance issues. Investigate and resolve technical issues promptly. User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and assisting with technology-related inquiries. Security Management: Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures. Regularly update and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Software Deployment: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications used by the organization. - Exposure to CI/CD Jenkins – setting up Master/slave jobs, (exposure to Groovy scripting is added advantage). - Reviewing system, event logs, IIS logs (Good exposure to IIS web application deployment environments) - Exposure to PL/SQL & MS SQL Server – basic querying, monitoring server health etc Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Capacity Planning: Monitor resource utilization and plan for future infrastructure upgrades to meet growing business needs. Compliance: Ensure IT systems and operations comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Qualifications: • Proven experience in IT operations or system administration roles. • Proficiency with operating systems (e.g., Windows), virtualization. • Strong understanding of network protocols and security practices. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. • This position will require occasional on-call duty to respond to critical IT incidents outside of regular business hours. • The IT Operations Specialist will work closely with other IT teams, including development and infrastructure teams, to support the overall IT environment. Experience managing Citrix environments would be beneficial also. Not mandatory, some good to have skills: - Working with Amazon Web Services like VPC, EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, RDS, SNS, Route 53, Cloud Watch, IAM and Security Groups, Docker, Docker Toolbox - understanding of Version control tools such as Bit Bucket, GITHUB
