We are currently seeking a Principal Engineer /Sr. Engineer / Engineer to join our team based in Gurugram / Noida, India. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Plans and schedules assigned work and determines staffing needs to meet the project milestones and assumes responsibility for meeting manhour budget and project schedules for all work assigned to the group or subordinate personnel • Provides technical guidance and assigns work to engineers, designers, drafters and others who assist in performing specific assignment. • Independently contacts project personnel, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel to gather and give information. Contacts client counterparts as directed. • Focal point for Instrument in multidisciplinary project. • Performs interdisciplinary checks. • Shall have experience in preparation of Design basis, specification, data sheets and sizing for various instruments including, control valves, PSVs, flowmeters, analyzers etc. • Review of vendor offers and selection of technically qualified vendor for the given application. Preparation of Technical Bid Analysis. • Working with Client/ PMC for resolving the Technical queries, obtaining the necessary technical approvals, etc • Ensure and perform engineering and design prudently so as to optimize cost of project execution. • Working with the vendors for Kick –Off Meetings after the award of the PO, design review meetings for discussing the technical queries and the solutions, keeping a track of the vendor’s activities and the progress. • Review of vendor deliverables to ensure their technical compliance. Provide necessary inputs to other disciplines. • Attending FAT, SAT and witnessing the compliance of vendor in meeting the project requirements. • Supporting the proposal efforts for various projects bids • Maintains project Contract review, KPI, Change Tracking, Schedule Tracking, Productivity and dashboard reporting, Value Engineering, Lesson Learnt etc. • Performs technical audits as and when required. • Prepares, reviews or monitors project controls, cost estimates, quantity take offs and manpower requirement. • Gives on-the-job training, promotes development of subordinates, evaluates and counsels assigned personnel. MAIN TASKS: • Exercises following: o Overall delivery of technical deliverables of instrument related items, with good quality. o Leadership of technical issue resolution o Productive utilization and absorption of engineering and design resources o Prioritization and planning of engineering activities and deliverables o Cost Optimization o Carry out site visits and provide site support, locally, during critical phases of site activities. • Responsible for achieving department KPI objective, productivity, milestones in a multidisciplinary task force. • Supports field technical issues and support sub-team leads in technical communications with clients/vendors when required. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with at least 10 years of overall industry experience • Knowledge and experience with various ASTM, IS, IEC codes and standards as well as various PMC standards. • Evidence of Value Engineering efforts in executed projects. • Conversant with SPI (Intools) is a must. • Conversance with 3D model review software like SPR is desirable. • Ability to work on all instruments for Material requisition, Technical bid evaluation and vendor deliverable review ( added advantage of analyser and control system). • Commissioning and field execution experience is added advantage • Advanced analytical, problem solving, accuracy, attention to details, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to establish deadlines for the team, manage priorities, and effectively achieve the goals in fast paced environment is critical. • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is essential. Ability to foster communication within diverse cultural environments. • Ability to plan, communicate/present concepts and reports on complex topics with the ability to persuade and influence others as needed. • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and to respond appropriately. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Spends most of time in a temperature controlled office environment. If required shall go to site deputation/international deputation.
