About the role

Reporting into the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager, the Spare Parts Coordinator (Procurement) will be responsible for actioning all customer spare parts requests. This role will be focused on the procurement of spare parts within a wider Spare Parts team, and will determine the optimal way to ship each order from the supplier to the customer, on time and within budget. It is critical that customers are kept up to date with order progress and informed of any potential delays.

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels of spare parts along with ensuring effective inventory management practices are in place.
  • Lead procurement actions from the search for suppliers to the receipt of materials.
  • Monitor lead times for orders and liaise with customers and other key stakeholders to coordinate delivery.
  • Maintain positive supplier relationships and monitor supplier performances to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Support general procurement when required.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will bring at least 3 years experience in a procurement role preferably within manufacturing or automation industries, strong communication and negotiating skills, along with a high attention to detail and the following:

  • Proven communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with professional practice of English (spoken, written and contractual).
  • Bachelor level degree or higher
  • Proven ability to build relationships both internal and external across multiple countries, regions, cultures, and functions
  • with ERP or MRP systems, along with expert level skills in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
