Quality Business Planning: Review annual plan for plant quality assurance based on forecasts, project requirements and historical data; Review manpower plan (workhours, utilization etc.) for coming year considering current manpower, existing and future business requirements; Submit final plans for the plant; Review plans periodically and take corrective actions if required; Send monthly reports to management in order to provide plant status and updates as per defined plan; in order to ensure that quality plans are adhered to as per the norms and organization policy Quality Management: Drive compliance to standard procedures and policies within the plant; Align plant processes and practices quality standards and norms; Identify areas of quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives from the industry best practices; Drive such initiatives, develop revised processes and guidelines, and develop capability in team through training; Oversee adherence to internal and external quality guidelines; Review analysis prepared by team on defects, rejections and non-conformance in systems/processes; Oversee conduction of root-cause analysis for identified defects and give inputs to team; Prepare brief on correctional measures in case of critical / major defects identified; Coordinate with IMS lead and monitor timely completion of internal and external certification audits (IMS 14000, 18000, etc.); Supervise creation and implementation of corrective action plans basis findings and drive closure of non-compliances, if any in order to drive the culture of quality and customer focus. Organize audits for other relevant certifications; Review and analyze audit report and develop action plan for issues raised; Apply for and organize recertification, as required, in order to; obtain all relevant quality certifications and ensure related compliances. Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies in current plant quality processes and prioritize the identified area of improvements; Guide team to develop plans for improvement/ new initiatives; Secure sign off from functional heads, if required; Guide and monitor team in implementing process improvement plans and initiatives (e.g. man-hour reduction, defect rate reduction); Execute process changes over time; Drive & guide team for implementing PFMEA & Layer Audit towards process improvements in order to instil a culture of quality within the plant.
