Assistant Manager - Logistics

Responsibilities:

· Supply Chain Knowledge: A deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution.

· Transportation Management: Proficiency in managing various modes of transportation, including road, rail and air to optimize logistics operations.

· Logistics Technology: Familiarity with logistics management software, transportation management systems (TMS), and other technology tools to enhance efficiency and visibility.

· Cost Management: The ability to control logistics costs while maintaining service levels and quality, including managing freight rates and transportation expenses.

· Supplier and Vendor Management: Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and address any supply chain disruptions.

· Risk Management: The capability to identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions due to natural disasters, geopolitical factors, or market fluctuations.

· Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing logistics data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to make data-driven decisions and improve operations.

· Project Management: Managing logistics improvement projects, such as process optimization, cost reduction initiatives, or technology implementations.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and customer service.

· Time Management: Efficiently managing time and resources to meet deadlines and operational goals.

· Customer Service Orientation: A customer-centric mindset to ensure timely and accurate delivery to meet customer expectations.

· Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate, train, and manage logistics staff effectively.

· Continuous Improvement: A commitment to ongoing learning and process improvement to enhance logistics efficiency and performance.

· Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and address logistics challenges and disruptions swiftly and effectively.

Must Have:

· 3-5 Years of experience in Supply Chain.

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools.

· Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.

· Familiarity with supply chain software and systems.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
