Detailed Job Description for Network Ops – Checkpoint + Cloud
- The Web Application Firewall Expert will be responsible for ensuring the security and smooth operation of the Checkpoint Firewall and WAF infrastructure.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to integrate the WAF seamlessly into existing and/or new web application environments.
- Hands-on experience on deploying, managing and upgrading Checkpoint Firewall and WAF on GCP VMs
- Day-to-day network performance monitoring.
- Provide Tier 1/2 support for the day-to-day running of the Network, Internet Services, Load-balancing and Checkpoint Firewall Services.
- Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Checkpoint WAF policies for new and existing web applications
- Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- ability to perform penetration tests of systems/applications.
- Practical skill/experience in developing Checkpoint WAF policies
- Trouble ticket generation and response; carrier interface and escalations.
- The Network Operations Engineer will offer Level 2 and Level 3 Network Support that includes operation and change management.
