Network Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of network infrastructure, including routers,
• switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
• Responsible of implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the network from
• cyber threats and unauthorised access. This involves configuring firewalls, intrusion detection
• systems, virtual private networks (VPNs), and access controls, as well as monitoring network
• traffic for suspicious activity and responding to security incidents promptly.
• Provide L3 technical support to users experiencing network-related issues, such as connectivity
• problems, slow performance, or configuration errors.
• Optimize network performance by analyzing traffic patterns, identifying bottlenecks, and
• implementing strategies to improve speed, reliability, and scalability. This may involve
• optimizing network configurations, implementing quality of service (QoS) policies, and deploying
• network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address performance issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology, and security policies to
• ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years’ experience in managing complex and large data center Network & Security Operation
• across Cisco Nexus, Catalyst switches, Routers, DNS, Citrix & F5 Load balancers (either in
• Telecom or BFSI customer environments)
• Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols
• including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting.
• Wireless Network Management: Experience in configuring and managing wireless networks,
• including access points, controllers, and wireless LAN controllers. Specifically, familiarity with
• Cisco Meraki wireless solutions for deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of wireless
• networks.
• Switch Management: Proficiency in configuring and managing switches, including VLAN
• configuration, trunking, spanning tree protocols (STP), and port security.
• Routing Protocols: Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and static routing,
• including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization across different OEM such as Juniper,
• CISCO and HPE etc.
• Firewall Administration: Experience with managing and configuring large firewall / SDWAN
• devices from vendors such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet FortiGate, Check Point Firewall, Palo Alto
• Networks, and HPE (formerly Aruba) devices.
• SD-WAN Administration: Proficiency in managing Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-
• WAN) solutions such as Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, Versa Networks, and similar platforms. This
• includes configuration, monitoring, and optimization of SD-WAN policies, traffic routing, and
• performance management across multiple WAN links
• Security Management: Understanding of firewall policies, NAT, VPN configuration, intrusion
• prevention systems (IPS), application control, and other security features.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently, including
• packet analysis, log interpretation, and troubleshooting tools.
• Vendor-specific Knowledge: Familiarity with vendor-specific technologies, command-line
• interfaces (CLI), and management platforms for Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto, and HPE
• devices.
• Network Monitoring: Experience with network monitoring tools such as Nagios, PRTG,
• SolarWinds, Manage Engine or Cisco Prime for proactive monitoring and alerting.
• Documentation: Strong documentation skills for network configurations, diagrams, change
• management procedures, and incident reports.
• Team Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with other IT
• teams, vendors, and stakeholders for network design, implementation, and maintenance.
