JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a dynamic, progressive, trustworthy, and experienced finance leader with gravitas and proven credentials. We have an exciting growth mandate for GODI and this role plays an integral part to this. You’ll be relied upon to provide commercial insights and advice as well as protect and grow the core value of the business through maintaining and continually improving financial controls, systems, and processes. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, costing, legal, statutory compliances, auditing, taxation, and MIS reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
  • Research and analyze financial reports and market trends.
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision-making.
  • Review financial data and prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
  • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, and executives.
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
  • Experience in Project Financing and Detail Project Report(DPR).
  • Overseeing and managing infrastructure and industrial projects from a long-term financial perspective. This includes making financial decisions related to investments, fundraising, vendor contracts, financial analysis, and assessing project viability and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
  • Deliver reports and metrics to leadership.
  • Day-to-day accounting & and financial operations entailing preparation and maintenance of statutory books of accounts and administering Year-end financial statements.
  • Preparation of project cost statements & and budgets.
  • Verification and Maintenance of General ledger, Accounts payable, and Receivables and preparation of age analysis of payables and receivables.
  • Preparing Monthly Financial Statements - P&L, Balance sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Implementation of Standards Operations Procedures.
  • Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
  • Heading accounts functions involve determining financial objectives, and designing & and implementing systems, policies & and procedures to facilitate internal financial control.
  • The setting and supervising of appropriate tax controls, so that all statutory obligations are fully met on a timely basis.
  • Verification and preparation of reports on Statutory compliances i.e. TDS, GST, Income Tax, Profession Tax, PF, ESI, etc.
  • Projects reconciliation against the Budget and reporting on the variances in detail.
  • Verification of work orders and purchase orders in relation to taxes and their reconciliations.


OUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • MBA in Finance from a Tier-1 B-school with a CA must.
  • 16+ years of financial problem-solving experience demonstrated in a high ownership / high impact area, with financial consulting experience.
  • Must understand the basics of department financials and P&L mechanics; understanding of accounting principles is beneficial.
  • Strong capabilities with MS Excel and building financial models.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and reconcile discrepancies in the financials.
  • Organized and diligent in following up on multiple simultaneous activities.
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable communicating with a broad base of stakeholders
  • Effective in executive interactions, with clear reasons to believe you can add value with your acumen and insightfulness when engaging with executives.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate successful interactions with team members and management.


OTHER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have sound knowledge of Internet software, Microsoft product Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
