Job Summary:

SHEMROCK Group of Schools, a leading name in the educational sector, is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Content Writer to join our Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging content for a variety of channels including our website, social media, and marketing materials. The role requires a strong understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to write for a diverse social media landscape. Key Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, attractive, and error-free content that reflects our school's voice and educational philosophy.
  • Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print.
  • Organize writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines.
  • Utilize industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content.
  • Communicate and cooperate with a writing team, including a content manager, editors, and web publishers.
  • Follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as websites, email marketing, product descriptions, videos, and blogs.
  • Use SEO strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of our website in search results.
  • Proofread and edit blog posts before publication.
  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.
  • Promote content on social media.
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone).
  • Update website content as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
  • Ability to write in a variety of formats and styles for multiple audiences.
  • An understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to proofread effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite & ChatGPT
  • Social media savvy.


Experience:

  • Prior experience in content writing, educational writing, or copywriting is a plus.
  • Fresh graduates with demonstrable writing skills are welcome to apply.


Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously.
  • Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary.
  • Proficiency with computers, especially writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
