Approximately 15+ years of experience in manufacturing/operations, out of which at least 8-10 years should have been in a "SOLAR MODULE MANUFACTURING" industry. The incumbent should have worked in the capacity of a Head Procurement with experience of buying capex, solar cell and solar module parts of his/her career.
Skillset -
- The Head Procurement will lead all procurement and SCM related matters of Solar BU with respect to Module manufacturing related BOM components.
- Primary Responsibility would be to lead and conclude overall purchasing activities for Solar BU for following items: Cell, EVA, Back sheet, Glass, Frame for Module Manufacturing.
- Ensure effective negotiations with vendors and supply partners. Ensuring profitable margins for the business through cost effective procurement. Driving on-time delivery for the assigned commodity.
- Developing new vendors and strategic business partners. Ensuring timely vendor payments and full compliance to contractual obligations. Monitoring material deliveries as per planned delivery schedule.
- Additionally, the Head Procurement will also be responsible for leading Greenfield CAPEX related projects to support the growth plans of the organization.
- As a member of the leadership committee, Head Procurement will also act as a liaison between the Corporate HQ and the manufacturing unit, thereby enabling effective collaboration with other commercial functions.
