About the Role
The Analyst works closely with the Director of Strategic Finance and enables analytic/decision-making support for evaluating and prioritizing business initiatives and new business ideas through the development of Financial models and/or upgrading the existing Financial Models.
The person should have experience in handling operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and information technology/systems to effectively and rapidly grow the business while securing its financial strength and operating efficiency.
Key Deliverables (What Will You Do)
The job has the primary responsibility to develop and upgrade the financial models and analytics to enable fast decision-making and reporting to external stakeholders. The individual should also be able to discuss business ideas with the Business team to develop an accurate and detailed financial analysis that can be used for decision-making. The Day-to-Day Duties include:
• Provide financial models and forecasting
• Analyze current and past financial data and performance
• Prepare reports and projections based on analysis
• Evaluate current capital expenditures and depreciation
• Explore investment opportunities
• Establish and evaluate profit plans
• Identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement
• Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
Job Specification (What Will You Need)
● 0-2 years of work experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data.
● Qualifications: CA with rank holders.
● Preferred Industry - Startup/Quick Commerce/E-Commerce/Any Consumer driven brand.
● Should be a self-starter with strong financial modeling skills and keen attention to detail.
● Should possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
● Knowledge of statistical analysis processes and proficiency in financial software and tools.
● The role requires operating autonomously, necessitating comfort with ambiguity and maintaining professional integrity.
● Knowledge of SQL/ETL is preferred, along with experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Metabase, Databricks) and other financial systems (e.g., ERPnext).
