Technical Role and Responsibilities


  • Possess 4 to 7 years of experience in embedded software testing – unit / integration test (white box / black box)/System test
  • Interest in Automotive or transportation technologies.
  • Experience in setting up embedded system and software test setup and automation
  • Strong in C and assembly language programming
  • Experience of testing firmware / middleware software for 16/32-bit processors
  • Experience in communication protocols like I2C/SPI/CAN/USB
  • Understanding of electronics hardware e.g., ADC, CAN, PROCESSOR, IO interfaces
  • Knowledge in Operating System RTOS and non-RTOS based software testing
  • Hands on with debuggers and test equipment like DSO, DMM
  • Experience in tools like Enterprise Architect, PTC, DOORS, SVN, JIRA
  • Should have worked on test tools CANalyzer, CANOe, Vectorcast
  • Should have experience in scripting language like CAPL, Python Perl,
  • Experience in test methodologies
  • Experience in workflow for SDLC
  • Preferred ISTQB certification in software testing
  • Strong Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and dynamic individual
  • Should be a good team player
  • Analyzing and interpreting system / product / software requirements and architecture design
  • Actively take part in the continuous improvement of product verification and validation practices
  • Contributing to the preparation of quotes for the software part
  • Actively prepare the test bench setups
  • Actively participates in trials and tests
  • Participating/defining practices to ensure software meets automotive standards in terms of reliability and safety
  • Participating/defining practices to ensure software is modular, reusable, documented and tested by a trial/test team.
  • Prepare system and software test specifications
  • Prepare or supporting for Test planning
  • Prepare / participate in system or software verification and validation plan
  • Execute / review the software testing according to automotive standards
  • Prepare the software test reports, traceability and review reports
  • Prepare automation for test cases
  • Participate in product design, development, and testing
  • Debug and support in solving technical problems
  • Support in Software validation (review, issue solving, support test bench)
  • Meeting the automotive quality standards / procedure
