Role and Responsibilities:
The AWS Platform engineer will be part of a team mainly responsible for Development, Deployment & Support of Kubernetes Environment & Platform services in AWS Cloud
Responsible for the operation and life-cycle management of Infrastructures and applications in the cloud (focus on AWS)
Plan and support the expansion of the IT infrastructure in the cloud as well as automation and monitoring of the Cloud Infrastructure
Optimization and development of new features and solutions for the cloud
Promote best practices for cloud and microservices infrastructure, software architecture, and development
Automated delivery of products in our cloud environment through CI/CD pipelines
Candidate will be responsible for independently working on individual task assigned to him/her with defined timelines.
Ensuring products/services owned by the candidate is successfully deployed during the Deployment window.
Familiar with working on Agile framework and it's methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, XP etc.
Candidate should have excellent communication skills & a can do attitude towards work.
Should be proactive enough to highlight any challenges or impediments to address it on priority basis during regular Standup meetings.
Technical Competency
3-6 years of experience in platform engineering on AWS cloud.
Extensive experience with cloud technologies and platforms such as AWS, OpenStack
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and platforms such as Kubernetes
Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools (git, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, etc)
Excellent working knowledge of Cloud formation, Terraform for infrastructure as code is must
Very good knowledge of the Python programming language
Experience with orchestration of microservices such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
Good knowledge of object-oriented design techniques, clean code and SOLID principles
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions...) and container technologies such as Docker
Pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working with high quality standards
Proficient with CI/CD, configuration & release management tools like AWS CICD, Jenkins etc.
Familiarity with serverless AWS services (e.g. Elastic Kubernetes Services, Elastic Container Services, Lambda Function, Step Functions, DynamoDB, EventBridge, API Gateway, AWS Cognito, Cloudwatch, AWS CDK, Cloudtrail etc.)
Strong RESTful API experience (both in Integration and development)
Experience with Docker container management
Self motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment.
BE in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience plus Real passion to technology.
Resource with AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional Certification will be preferred.
