About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our expanding team. You will play a key role in building and maintaining the data pipeline’s integrity, accuracy, and consistency. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.
Roles/Responsibilities:
•Design and Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency.
•Maintain the existing data pipelines and jobs, as well as build new pipelines per requirements.
•Develop a data orchestration platform or a method to ensure on-time projects completion, in-budget, and required quality standards.
•Document current data workflows within the organization and make recommendations on optimizations to minimize any data breaches.
•Build a strong data mart structure along with alerts/errors tracking mechanisms to meet the business reporting needs.
•Able to work independently and support the existing team, as well as mentor a developing team.
Prerequisites/Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
•Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Good to have)
•3-5 years’ experience on data management, data governance, data engineering, programming, and building systems.
•Relevant hands-on experience on Java/Scala/Python
•Relevant hands-on experience on SQL
•Relevant hands-on experience on Big Data frameworks (Spark)
•Strong understanding of database architecture in relational and non-relational databases
•Experience with any other data management tools and technologies, such as data warehousing, ETL, and data viz. tools
•Understanding on Unix and shell scripting (Good to have)
•Knowledge on Cloud infrastructure/AWS services like EC2 and S3 (Good to have)
