Position Summary The Application and Data Integration Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development, evolution, and management of an Enterprise Operational Data Store along with aiding in integrations, workflows, and reporting between disparate systems. Application Integrations will primarily occur between enterprise-level platforms and applications such as Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM), Oracle Platform as a service, Salesforce, NetSuite, and ADP using typical Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), middleware and/or Application Programming Interface (API) tools. Data migration to Azure SQL (Structured Query Language), retiring legacy systems, and onboarding new data sets/processes will also be an essential part of the job. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Application and Data Integration 100% • Plan, design, and develop data integration solutions using enterprise integration tools • Design integration components that manage data ingestion, real time streaming, batch processing, data extraction, transformation, enrichment, and loading of data into a Microsoft Azure SQL (Structured Query Language) Server • Collaborate with business owners to explore and identify relevant data that can be pulled into a central Data Hub • Support and maintain integration datasets within their enterprise data storage environments • Create automation for repeatable database tasks and processes • Evaluate and maintain data integrity • Work with Information Security team to enforce data security and data access controls • Identify, communicate, and implement database standards and best practices Performs related duties as required. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Work Experience Requirements Minimum Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field • 2 years delivering complex integrations to/from enterprise scale cloud-based applications utilizing enterprise class integration tools like Workato, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi • Minimum of 5 years of advanced technical skills in SQL (Structured Query Language) Server/Database Management. • 2 years Azure SQL (Structured Query Language) experience • Working experience with building RESTful application programming interface (API) • Working experience with XML and JSON files • Experience with data analysis Preferred Qualifications: • None. Competencies (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities): • Strong ability to learn new technical concepts, programs, and languages with a demonstrated track record with Integrated Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP)/Filesystems, Ruby, R, Python • Excellent skills in database design. • Data Modeling and Relational Database Design. • AZURE SQL (Structured Query Language) experience (Azure Data Factory a plus). • Web services (RESTful application programming interface (REST)/ Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)) • Middleware experience like Workato/Dell Boomi/MuleSoft • SQL-Server database development knowledge including (Transact-SQL, SQL (Structured Query Language) Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL (Structured Query Language), Server Management Services (SSMS), SQL (Structured Query Language), Server Integration Services (SSIS) development, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL).
