Position Overview Autodesk is looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join at Autodesk Pune, India. You will lead teams of software engineers to translate customer needs into technical solutions. You will work independently and collaboratively with peers to ensure that solutions are built with a long-term vision and align with enterprise platform requirements. You will also provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team, driving Agile software development, in a hybrid work model. As someone, you have led teams developing and delivering reliable front end solutions. You know how to nurture talent, develop/advocate best practices, foster, and provide guidance and mentoring to high-performing teams, providing high-quality solutions to our customers. This job is a Hybrid from the Pune location and you will be reporting to the Director.ResponsibilitiesLead multiple Agile Scrum teams in developing high-quality software systemsRemain accountable for outcomes and engineering excellence of teamsHire and on-board talent, and align them with organisational goalsWork with team members on goal-setting, meeting for performance discussions and feedback to up-skill and develop their careers to meet organisational needs and individual career goalsPlan and review project schedule of teams and reporting progress higher upSet and communicate team priorities that support the broader organisation's goalsAlign strategy, processes across teamsPlan, review, and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs, time & budget estimates, and test strategiesManage projects risks, driving strategic and ensuring successful deliveriesDevelop engineering processes, best practices to improve team efficiency, ensuring solutions are maintainable, modular, and of high code qualityFacilitate team collaboration sessions, providing technical expertise and removing technical roadblocksInspire, motivate, and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, creativity, and efficiencyContribute to the technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resources, and quality constraintsCreate an environment that empowers and energize team members, with focus on accountability and collaborationContribute to and foster Autodesk culture values in the teamsMinimum QualificationsMasters/Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience12-16 years as a software developer working on enterprise software5+ years of experience in a technical front end projects stacks Like ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript/VueJS etc5+ years of experience managing software development teams, or other similar leadership roles (managing team members from Software Engineers to Principal Engineers to Architects)Working knowledge of software development methodologies, OOPS and software design patterns and have experience leading software projects/productsTechnical skills with experience in architecting, developing front end cloud applications with testing and automations strategyGrow engineering talent through mentoring, coaching, succession planning, and retention strategies in a growth-focused environment, to work collaboratively as a cohesive and productive unitGuide technical projects and provide leadershipTaking responsibility for the planning, execution, and success of technical projectsMust have fundamentals in technology with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, web technology stack, and exposure to backend developmentExperience and well-versed in leading in an Agile development environmentCertification in Agile Methodologies or related training#LI-AC3#LI-HybridLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
