Senior Data Engineer - Enabling Functions Data Product Enablement [T500-**]

Desired Candidate Characteristics and Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for enhancing and delivering high quality, data products and analytic ready data solutions for Enabling Functions
• Working with stakeholders to define the overall strategy for the organization's data products and new features. This involves understanding business goals, identifying data sources, and determining the appropriate technology stack and making recommendations/ building enhancements.
• Developing and implementing data engineering solutions that support the organization's business needs. This may involve working with various technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, and data APIs.
• Understand and collaborate with data architect to maintain data models to support our reporting and analysis needs.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval to ensure efficient performance and scalability.
• Implement standard data governance policies and procedures to ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and secure. This includes defining data quality standards, data security protocols, and data privacy policies.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Close partnering with the Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform team, other functional data pods and Data Community lead to shape and adopt data and technology strategy.
• Staying up to date with industry trends: Keeping up to date with the latest trends and advancements in data architecture/ data engineering and technology and applying this knowledge to enhance the organization's data systems and processes.
• Serves as the Subject Matter Expert on EF (Enabling Functions) Data & Analytics data asset and product solutions and build knowledge of a select priority data domains.
• Accountable for evaluating enhancements and projects and assessing capacity and prioritization along with onshore and partner teams.
• Has End to End ownership mindset in driving initiatives through completion.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
• Prior experience working in an Agile/Product based environment.
• Provides strategic feedback to vendors on service delivery and balances workload with vendor teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience working on implementing and operating data capabilities and innovative data solutions, in a cloud environment. Breadth of experience in technology capabilities that span the full life cycle of data management including data lake houses, master/reference data management, data quality and analytics/AI ML (Machine Learning) is needed.
• At least 5 years’ experience in designing and hands on building complex data solutions.
• Hands on experience with programming and analytics capabilities using company approved technologies including AWS (Amazon Web Services) Native Services (Glue Studio, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, Postgres DB etc.) is required ; Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) is a plus
• programming skills in languages such as Python, Pytorch, etc.
• Experience with SQL and database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.
• 3+ years of experience working on data engineering environment
• Comfortable working in a dynamic global environment
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, supporting in generative AI model development, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills Functional knowledge or prior experience in Enterprise Functions is a plus.
