Job Purpose

The Strategic Project Manager, Finance for Marsh McLennan’s Financial Planning and Analysis team in the India, Middle East, and Africa region (IMEA) will be a core member of the IMEA team, reporting indirectly to the MMC IMEA Finance Director. The role’s purpose is coordination, project management, and financial analysis support for strategic financial projects. There is a high level of interaction with senior finance and business colleagues and requires a highly motivated, proactive, accountable individual with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.


Main Responsibilities


  • Own project management and implementation of strategic financial initiatives supporting the definition of initiative objectives, identifying appropriate KPIs to track benefit realization, and establishing methodologies to track achievement of benefits over time feeding into standard financial reporting (e.g. budgets, forecasts, etc).
  • Provide financial analyst support for regional and country finance and business teams to drive data-driven decision making by gathering and cleansing data and building financial models
  • .Ensure overall project timelines and pace are met.
  • Represent finance in the execution of company acquisitions and disposals from pipeline management through to execution including the development of valuation models (discounted cash flow analysis, ROI, IRR, payback period, multiples) and pro-formas, advising on key risks and opportunities in line with regional and global strategies, and ensuring quality of company financial information shared with external stakeholders.
  • Development of dashboards and reporting beyond standard P&Ls, identifying and leveraging KPIs to enable business insights, issue identification and decision making. Develop appropriate targets for KPIs, cascading through organization, and establishing management/governance of these, working with local FP&A teams to ensure understanding.
  • Identifying and evaluating potential financial risks that could impact the performance of the business, while maximizing investment opportunities e.g. changes in market conditions, regulatory environments, shareholding arrangements, client concentration, etc


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, business or economics CPA/CA or CFA required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years working experience in a multinational company performing financial analyses and project management
  • Analytical, organized, systematic with good problem-solving skills
  • With strong communication and interpersonal skillsHave a good understanding of databases/ datawarehouses, financial applications and proficient with Excel e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables
  • Hyperion and Essbase experience preferred
