Roles & Responsibilities (Location - Chennai) Design technical solutions and costing proposals as per need of customer to run the transport operations in an efficient and structured manner. To solutions strategy focused upon improving the quality of service, automation & solutions delivered to its clientele across sectors and geographies. Responsible for designing end-to-end transport solutions and costing models including understand requirements, validate data/scope, site visits, detailed all India multi-site and lanes Network design, fleet design/type, assumptions, costing, SOPs, process/activity mapping, timelines, simulation, scenario/risk analysis, dependencies etc. Actively own the solution and influence/contribute to every stage of the sales process, requirement gathering, solution design, cost modelling and due diligence. Prepare final solution and costing summary document with assumptions, terms and conditions, sensitivity, Risks and scenario analysis. Coordinate with customer/sales/operations to gather data/information on transport opportunity In/out of scope, challenges, cost and operations KPIs/SLA expectations, timelines, technology Ensure all productivities, vehicle types, transport modes (Rail/Road/Air/Ocean), solution assumptions are fully meeting Transport operations, regulations, transport industry practices and processes. Hands on experience in using various transport network, optimization and simulation design software, tools, technologies, TMS, FMS, GPS, Maps, MS Power BI, Tableau etc. Ensure that all solutions/costing models are validated (using maker checker process) and accurate before submission. Based on the feedback, scope change revise/correct/modify solutions as per agreed timelines Expert in data crunching, validation, working knowledge of transport vehicle types (Container/Open/Cold Chain), capacities, FTL/PTL/Courier, Inbound/Outbound/Returns, Hub & Spoke, operating costs, efficiencies, market practices, vehicle design/specs, dimensions, capacities, Own/leased/vendor vehicle cost/benefits etc. Conduct solution/cost vs actual operations cost/process analysis, identify reasons for the variances and suggest corrective actions to achieve original solution/cost in actual operations. Manage solutions team, recruitment, training and mentor them. Drive the optimization projects to improve the productivity, cost and quality by re-designing the transport solutions including improving Network design, process, Standardization and automation of manual tasks, load/Vehicle/Route planning, technology, operating and commercial model to meet the customer needs, target budget and KPIs.
