Technical Lead

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and develop Enterprise Engineering solutions that are agile and scale with Credit safe’s business growth ensuring flexible design to support future business needs and enhancements.
• Proactively working with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, integrated system technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data-centric applications, microservices, and APIs that meet project requirements.
• Designs large or complex systems and undertakes impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs. Ensures that the system design balances functional and non-functional requirements, quality, security and systems management requirements.
• Designing or selecting system components championing Software Engineering best practices, such as continuous integration and test-driven development.
• Takes technical responsibility across all stages and iterations of software development.
• Build software applications, components, interfaces and related characteristics (including security) using design concepts and patterns to develop software design and provide the basis for software construction and verification.
• Developing prototypes/simulations to enable informed decision-making.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize code and AWS resources to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Implement and follow security best practices within the codebase and cloud infrastructure. Ensuring that security, information security and production environment guidelines are met.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues and outages as they arise. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with coding or design.
• Mentoring and guiding the engineering team, sharing expertise on complex technology issues and leading problem-solving sessions.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and propose innovative solutions that can enhance our systems. Pioneering innovation by staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for their adoption where applicable. Willingness to learn new technologies quickly and apply to the work environment.

Experience -

• 10+ years of experience in Software design and development
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid experience of working within any of major development stacks in creating high performing APIs (e.g. .net core, Java, Node, Python).
• Experience with our Technology Stack: Python, Linux, Airflow, AWS DynamoDB, S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, lambda, API Gateway, Terraform, CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Python, including deep knowledge of engineering implementation patterns. Proven ability to construct, scale, and optimize APIs and data pipelines in Python within a commercial setting.
• Experience of web services using architectural styles such as REST, Micro services, SOA.
• Experienced with enterprise applications and large relational databases (e.g. Postgres, Oracle). Experience with cloud database technologies is also advantageous.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure setup including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, MySQL. Extensive experience with cloud environments and adept in knitting together code and cloud infrastructure for optimal performance. AWS Solutions Architect certification would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of leading web projects using Single Page Applications based on JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular etc.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience on at least one Version control tool like Gitlab, Bitbucket, GitHub etc.
• Knowledge of continuous delivery e.g. GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Gradle, maven and similar technologies.
