We are seeking an experienced Manual Testing Lead to join our team and take ownership of the quality assurance process. The Manual Testing Lead will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining manual test cases, as well as leading a team of manual testers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven track record in manual testing and team leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various projects.
2. Design and execute manual tests to identify defects, validate software functionality, and ensure product quality.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and other QA team members, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
4. Lead a team of manual testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful completion of testing tasks.
5. Analyze test results, identify trends, and recommend improvements to testing processes and methodologies.
6. Track and report on testing progress, defect status, and project milestones to stakeholders.
7. Develop and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks, as needed.
8. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
9. Assist in the identification, prioritization, and resolution of defects, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
10. Participate in post-release support, troubleshooting issues, and providing recommendations for future releases.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in manual testing, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
3. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
6. Experience with test management tools, such as JIRA, TestRail, or QTest.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
9. ISTQB certification is a plus.
