Job Summary:We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Functional Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques, with a focus on functional testing. The Functional Tester will be responsible for ensuring that software applications and systems meet the specified functional requirements and deliver a high-quality user experience. This role requires excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for ensuring software reliability and usability. Responsibilities:• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional testing of software applications and systems.• Identify, document, and report defects and issues discovered during testing, utilizing appropriate defect tracking tools.• Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.• Conduct regression testing to validate software fixes and enhancements.• Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and other project meetings to provide testing input and feedback.• Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts, to reflect changes in requirements or software functionality.• Work closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize testing activities and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases.• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools. • Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies related to functional testing. Requirements :• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.• Proven experience in functional testing of software applications, preferably in a fast-paced environment.• Strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.• Experience with test management tools (, Client ALM, Jira, QTest, etc.) and defect tracking systems.• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Agile Tester (CAT), or similar are desirable but not required Preferred Qualifications :• ISTQB or Similar software testing certification.• Experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD Pipeline)• Knowledge of performance testing concept and tools(Jmeter, LoadRunner)• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS ,Azure / GCP• Pervious exp in testing microservices architectures• Understanding of security testing principles and techniques
