Job Description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Carbon Data Management:

  • Lead the collection and validation of monthly GHG-related data points, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Utilize designated tools for data entry and approval and collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze consumption and emissions trends against targets.
  • Identify and bridge gaps in sustainability performance, communicating findings effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for efficient GHG data management.
  • Drive the third-party data assurance audits and ensure compliance with GHG protocols / ISO 14064.

Energy Efficiency Champion:

  • Spearhead initiatives to optimize energy consumption across our global operations.
  • Implement innovative solutions and technologies to reduce the carbon footprint associated with electricity usage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of energy efficiency and sustainability.

Renewable Energy Integration:

  • Lead the transition to renewable energy sources for our facilities globally.
  • Identify opportunities for solar, wind, or other sustainable energy installations.
  • Liaise with energy providers to negotiate contracts for the procurement of clean and green power.

Carbon Neutrality Initiatives:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve and maintain carbon neutrality.
  • Investigate and invest in carbon offset projects aligned with corporate values.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to monitor and report on progress toward carbon reduction goals.

Global Sustainability Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of global sustainability regulations and standards.
  • Provide necessary data, inputs, write-ups and ensure organizational compliance with ESG reporting requirements and sustainability benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to adapt sustainability practices to local regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement and Education:

  • Engage with employees, clients, and suppliers to foster a sustainability mindset.
  • Develop training programs to educate teams on sustainable practices and their impact.
  • Act as a liaison for sustainability-related inquiries and initiatives.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and submit sustainability reports in accordance with industry standards and reporting frameworks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to sustainability initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Lead the annual ESG Report preparation including information and data gathering, content development and external assurance. Ensure alignment with ESG disclosure requirements and best practices. Identifies potential challenges and proactively manage them to ensure on time and quality deliverables.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Research and stay current on emerging sustainability trends and technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in sustainability practices.

Environmental Impact Assessment

  • Conduct regular environmental impact assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to minimize the organization's ecological footprint.
  • Analyze data and metrics to track progress and report on sustainability performance.


Qualifications

Our most successful candidates will have the following qualifications and skill sets:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical / electronics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
  • Energy Auditor Qualification preferred. Should have conducted energy audits and implemented energy saving projects.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing sustainability programs within a global context.
  • Deep understanding of ESG principles, carbon accounting, and sustainability reporting.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to drive sustainable initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and inspire stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with international Environmental Social Governance regulations and frameworks.
  • Good understanding of ESG reporting and disclosure requirements (legal/standards) and trends.
  • Knowledge of ESG metrics and protocols, in particular environmental/carbon.
