About the Role:

The managing/publishing editor at EC-Council Group will be responsible for overseeing the creation and production of written content for publication development of standards. Their primary role involves managing the editorial process from acquisition of content to the final publication.

  • Scouting & contract negotiation for potential authors, or content creators that align with the company's goals and target audience.
  • Collaborating with authors or content creators, provides guidance and feedback to develop and refine content to meet the publishing standards and market demands.
  • Lead the development and implementation of InfoSec standards, guidelines, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Management of content development groups, proofreaders, and possibly freelance contributors & the entire editorial process, ensuring deadlines are met, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Working closely with design, layout, and production teams, the editor ensures that the content is formatted appropriately for publication. They may also coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure the content aligns with promotional strategies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all published content meets the highest standards of accuracy, grammar, and style. They may implement editorial guidelines and style manuals to maintain consistency across publications.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market demands, and reader preferences to inform publishing decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with content creators, agents, freelancers, and other industry professionals.


Required Experience/Skills/Competencies

  • 12-20 years of proven experience as managing editor or relevant role, with exceptional ability in copywriting and editing.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, or related field (master’s degree or Ph. D preferred ).
  • Proficiency in English
  • Abilities in planning and coordinating people and operations.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in leading a volunteer group (preferred).
  • Experience in EdTech or IT /Cyber Security domain (preferred).
