Senior Engineering Manager( Java, AWS/Cloud)

Position Overview Autodesk is looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join the Autodesk Platform Services Engineering team in Pune, India. You will lead teams of software engineers to translate customer needs into technical solutions. You will work independently and collaboratively with peers to ensure that solutions are built with a long-term vision and align with enterprise platform requirements. You will also provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team, driving Agile software development, in a hybrid work model. This job is a Hybrid from the Pune location and you will be reporting to the Sr Engineering Manager.ResponsibilitiesLead Important Business Outcome / Initiatives. Accountable for multiple large-scale key results. Lead and contribute to development of our goals and long-term strategy of the services.Guide resiliency best practices & coordinate with other teams.Collaborate with Product Managers and other partners accomplish outcomes.Ensure delivery of high-quality software meeting customer needs.As organisation leader, Inspire, motivate and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, creativity and efficiency.Mentor team members to develop their careers and to achieve individual success.Hire, develop top engineering talent.Enhance engineering efficiency; observe the team, identify opportunities, and influence the improvement.Manage the unknowns and help teams manage through the uncertainties.Improve customer-centricity and engineering excellence in teams.Minimum Qualifications14+ years of experience in the industry involving developing cloud scale and server application services6+ years of experience in leading, and managing development teams, or other similar leadership roles (managing cross-functional team members from Software Engineers to Principal Engineers to Architects)Experience in backend technology skill into Java, Spring Boot, Micoservies, Rest APIsExperience leading teams developing high scale and cloud servicesHands-on Experience with AWS services .Experience in hiring key talent and setting up teams for success.Experience and well-versed in leading in an Agile development environment.Experience with web technology stack, cloud computing, and cloud database technologies#LI-AC3Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
