What You Will Do

The Python Backend Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and testing software solutions for the system. You will evaluate available options and implement the best course of action, monitor project plans and schedules to ensure deliverables on time and budget, and identify and manage internal and external resources to support assigned projects.:


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-performance Python backend systems that meet the needs of the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for backend engineering.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Design and develop software solutions for the system using Python REST APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Evaluate available options and implement the best course of action for software development.
  • Monitor project plans and schedules to ensure deliverables are on time and within budget.
  • Identify and manage internal and external resources to support assigned projects.
  • Lead project teams and provide technical support.
  • Analyze opportunities for the development of new or improved tools for process improvement activities.
  • Provide technical expertise as a subject matter expert.
  • Provide technical consultation and leadership to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Improve reliability and reduce support incidents for global infrastructure through Jira grooming.
  • Drive innovation through automation of services and capabilities.


What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of experience in Python backend development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with web frameworks such as Flask or Django.
  • Experience with Postgres, SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Python and one or more programming languages.
  • Cloud Finops tools.


Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in microservices architecture and REST APIs based application development.
  • Hands-on experience in building solutions in public cloud.
  • Understanding of agile development processes.
  • Understanding of GIT-based source code management, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Results-driven, quick learner, and self-starter.
  • AWS or Azure Certified developer or architect at the associate level preferred.
