You will be working as the Engineering Unit in our Commercial Vehicles- Research & Development Department. This department works ardently towards conducting research and development of new products and ensure they conform quality and safety standards to meet market trends and customer needs. Your Job Role Summary You will be responsible for understanding, designing, and interpreting electrical circuit diagrams, troubleshooting faults and resolving complaints related to electrical wiring and lighting. You will also independently perform testing for vehicle auto electrical wiring and lighting systems to bring the systems to conform to safety and quality norms. Your key deliverables will be Prepare Vehicle Electrical layout/Architecture, Circuit confirmation through CHS, Prepare SOR’s for various systems and share with Purchase for sourcing. Definition of DTC/Messages/Encryption of ECU/Cluster/CAL verification. Find RCA & corresponding ICA/PCA for all issues observed in vehicle testing as well as for field issues. Identify correct solutions for new CMVR/MHI/BIS requirements. Preparing system level requirements (SOR) for major EV systems such as BMS (Battery management system), MCU (Motor Controller Unit), IOT systems Carrying out integration of all major systems of EV Conducting system level simulations (SIL and HIL) to verify all control strategies and optimize Defining and finalizing of diagnostic strategies, tools, data set, manual and execution of the same for a program Selecting systems to meet the homologation requirement of EMI & EMC on the system and vehicle levels; further diagnosis and resolution if problem arises. Facilitating in defining the vehicle network architecture for seamless operation and integration and also defining the various network protocols such as LIN, CAN, CAN-FD Selecting the components and sub-systems to meet to the vehicle safety system as per ISO 26262 and ASIL Utilizing different commercial tools such as CAN Analyzer, MATLAB, and other relevant tools Supporting product definition teams to develop product requirements and researching new product concepts. Leading the DFMEA/DFM/DFA/DFS activity for ongoing projects and optimize the designs accordingly and to ensure the resolution of manufacturing, assembly and serviceability issues. Ensuring testing plans are prepared for all systems, sub systems, components covering test objectives. Developing test parameters and types of testing for electrical and electronic parts by incorporating feedback from reviews and testing Conducting on vehicle failure analysis of parts as per 8D process Working as per design methodology and development process (e.g. ISO/TS 16949) adopted by the company with adherence to company requirements and procedures (SAP) Adhering to the time targets with regular updates on real time status to the Department Head along with any delays anticipated related to the assigned project targets. Guiding other engineers of various disciplines towards solving complex engineering issues. Working with project managers on development efforts to ensure that projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget Assisting in defining the loading and boundary conditions for all virtual analysis for the systems and components; and continuously improving to draw in real life situations Defining the Design Validation Plan (DVP) and acceptance criteria for the systems at component and vehicle level Coordinating with internal stake holders for building the prototypes, testing, homologation and other related activities Working continuously on value engineering proposals for the systems and their components to achieve the cost target Performing activities to ensure the design quality and BOM quality and aid in the product life cycle management for the designated systems. Essential Qualification/Desired Qualification B.E /B –Tech (Electrical/ Electronics) M.E /M- Tech (Electrical/ Electronics) Experience in processor design, physical design and timing closure Preferred Technical Skills and Certification Electrical circuit design, knowledge of ECU based working of the vehicles. 3 D Modeling, 2 D drawing, Circuit designing. Knowledge of analog and mixed-signal IC design fundamentals. Verilog, System Verilog, RTL, Digital Design. Work Experience Total 15-18 years of experience in the industry
