BDO Executive Search is looking at hiring an Engagement Manager / Principal based out of Mumbai.


This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves to be in an entrepreneurial environment with full autonomy & immense learning. You will be a part of a Founding Team where you are building a new business from scratch while being a part of one of the most well-respected names in the professional services industry in the country. In this role, you will be responsible for originating and executing leadership search assignments & managing a P&L of your own.


Indicative Responsibilities:


  • Lead and contribute to business development efforts by identifying and developing new clients and mining existing relationships.
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients in a particular sector or function & manage the GTM strategy.
  • Complete responsibility of P&L: Drive your team to meet topline & profitability targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their business, culture, and hiring objective and serve as a trusted advisor to them.
  • Devise a sourcing strategy for the search using comprehensive research methodologies and conduct in-depth interviews and candidate assessments.
  • Collaborate with a team of Research Associates and Consultants to ensure effective and efficient search execution.
  • Hire, train and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Stay well-informed of industry trends, market dynamics, and talent landscape to provide valuable insights to clients.


Ideal Candidate:


  • 4 to 12 years of relevant experience in executive search, recruitment or B2B sales.
  • Postgraduate or other Advance degree(s) from premier institutes. Relevant industry certifications would be a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and candidates.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack to think out-of-the-box and come up with creative solutions to address client needs.
  • Strong commercial acumen and Results-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding targets in a B2B sales role/ recruitment or advisory role.
