Job Brief:


We are seeking a proficient mixed-signal hardware design engineer for our dynamic electronics research and development team. Our team specializes in the complete developmental cycle of embedded electronics systems for our unmanned aerial vehicles. In this role, you will collaborate with electronics, software and mechanical departments to contribute in design, analysis, development, testing and manufacturing of embedded systems such as flight control unit, single board computers, global navigation systems, inertial navigation system, payload control system, actuator control system and many more.

Required Skills:


  • Experience with 32-bit microcontroller based designs.
  • Knowledge of analog electronics components - transistors, MOSFETs, IGBTs, buck converters, linear regulators, OPAMPs etc.
  • Knowledge of efficiency calculation of the switching and power conversion circuits.
  • Knowledge of digital components including logic gates, mux, demux, logic level translators, schmitt triggers etc.
  • Knowledge of the peripherals– ADC, DAC, TIMER, PWM, SPI, SDIO, UART, I2C, PLL, CAN, RS232, RS485 etc. and its debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of ECAD tools such as Altium, Capture CIS, Allegro PCB Editor.
  • Expertise in circuit simulation using Pspice or equivalent tool.
  • Hands on experience in carrying out board bring-up and design verification testing.
  • Hands on experience with DSO, power supplies, current probes, data loggers, power analysers etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing filters.
  • Knowledge of system integration testing.
  • Familiarity with layout practices to mitigate EMC/EMI issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.



Desired Skills:


  • Familiar with the H-Bridge drivers.
  • Experience in ASIL B / ASIL D systems.
  • Experience in design of electronics speed controllers for BLDC motors.
  • Knowledge of the PDLC documentation.
  • Experience in PLM software.
  • Familiar with electronics used in extreme temperature, shock and vibration environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance and certifications for Automotive/ MIL grade products.
  • Knowledge of circuit design techniques to have good EMI/EMC performance of design.
  • Familiarity with the mass production process, ICT (FPT) and functional testing.


As a Mixed Signal Hardware Design Engineer, you will:


  • Be responsible for the design of the boards based on 32-bit microcontroller, memories, sensors, actuators, and logic implementation using analog and digital components.
  • Be involved in development of cutting-edge power management and monitoring systems like BMS, PMIC and similar.
  • Perform validation & verification of designs using simulations.
  • Select critical components that meet product specifications.
  • Design schematics in ECAD tools – Altium, OrCAD Capture.
  • Perform analysis like derating, WCCA, CFMEA, DFMEA, thermal analysis, power budget etc.
  • Be responsible for product development life cycle documentation.
  • Prepare PCB layout guidelines and work closely with PCB team in reviewing the layout.
  • Make test plans for board and design verification.
  • Be responsible for testing the hardware in accordance with the requirements or specifications and making the necessary technical reports.


Degree and Experience:


  • B.E., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in electrical/electronics engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
