Job Title: Analyst II, FP&A HQ Support Execution

The Analyst II, FP&A HQ Support Execution for BMS will be a highly collaborative Finance business partner. They will support execution of FP&A HQ support activities in BMS’s Hyderabad Hub, and demonstrate the following attributes:


Exceptional expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling

Outstanding ability to forge strong partnerships across the organization to provide insights and guidance to cross-functional teams

Open communication and cooperation to ensure regional FP&A remains an integral part of decision-making processes, aligned to broader vision and strategy, and contributes to the overall success of the company


A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required, preferably in a process excellence or capability improvement capacity. The position will be based in the BMS’s Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person) with minimal travel expected.


Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:

FP&A activities

  • Supports Hyderabad Hub FP&A HQ support and consolidation activities
  • Builds analytical financial models for evaluating business opportunities and resource allocation
  • Consolidates and analyzes financial information including actuals, budgets, projections, monthly / quarterly closes, and manages ad-hoc requests
  • Develops various financial reporting schedules timely and accurately
  • Provides effective analyses to clearly highlight key trends / variances and rationale
  • Prepare projection presentations for forecasting reviews; update forecast templates as needed
  • Prepare standard analysis and slides to facilitate reviews with local and regional leadership
  • Supports Finance leadership with meaningful and actionable insights around life cycle flexing
  • Supports special projects, ad-hoc analysis to ensure highly effective outcomes
  • Works with Associate Director, FP&A Mgmt. Reporting GPO & other delivery teams to drive analysis and reporting standardization
  • Actively influences the identification of continuous improvement opportunities


Relationship management and teaming

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with Associate Director, FP&A Mgmt. Reporting GPO and other Hyderabad service delivery teams
  • Holds self and others to timelines, quality, and accuracy


Risk management

  • Articulates material risks and opportunities and takes an active role in designing and executing response or contingency plans

List of minimum requirements

  • Degree/Certification/Licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) preferred and / or CA/CPA equivalent preferred
  • Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience
  • Finance experience within the pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Mastery of financial analysis, modeling, processes (budget, P&L) sufficient to train and develop others
