Job Purpose: Responsible for designing scalable product for autonomous mobile robots. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing scalable product for autonomous mobile robots department, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of state-of-the-art robotic systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to create robots that push the boundaries of technology and reshape industries. Your creative thinking, technical expertise, and attention to detail will be essential in bringing concepts to life and ensuring the successful implementation of robotic solutions.



Role Expectations:

  • mechanical design process for robotic systems, from concept to production, incorporating both functionality and aesthetics.
  • CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings for various robot components and systems.
  • structural and thermal analysis to ensure the mechanical integrity and performance of robot designs, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • with the electrical engineering team to integrate mechanical and electronic components seamlessly, considering factors such as space constraints and wiring management.
  • in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and addressing design challenges while maintaining alignment with project goals.
  • appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, considering factors such as cost, durability, and production scalability.
  • to the development of prototypes and conduct testing and validation to ensure designs meet performance and safety standards.
  • up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement in robotic designs.
  • mentorship and guidance to junior members of the mechanical design team, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.

  • Stakeholders: Electrical Engineers, Software developers, and Project managers in Mobile robots team

II. PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS

Profile: Ideally ~

  • B.E or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial engineering
  • experience (3-5 years) in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics or automation industry.
  • in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent.
  • understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
  • with structural analysis tools and methodologies.


  • with mechatronics and the integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
  • and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology in the field of robotics.



Requisites: Exposure to mechanical product designing in autonomous mobile robots with manufacturing and automation background. Good Exposure on Solid work & AutoCAD.

Preferred currently working with Automation or Engineering solution provider company



Competencies:


TECHNICAL:

  • should have sound knowledge 3D modelling and 2D manufacturing drawing on Solid works Software.
  • working capability in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent.
